Objectives 2 and 5:
I feel I improved a lot in these two objectives, especially in this essay. Before, I would just write and not really proofread. I handed in my rough draft, and it got marked up a lot. At least half of the mistakes were simple ones that I could’ve fixed easily. The rest of the mistakes I couldn’t recognize until someone broke it down to me. The other thing was that I didn’t fully understand what I was supposed to write. I know I was supposed to make a persuasive argument, but I didn’t know I was supposed to go deeper in-depth. For the draft, since it was about Sean Combs aka P Diddy, I just made an argument on how he isn’t a good person and how the ad is inappropriate because of the allegations he has been going through. But when I fully understood the assignment, I learned that I was supposed to hyper-analyze the ad, and how every single component works as one to illustrate one message. This is how I improved my understanding of different types of writing and how I’ve improved my skills.
